Spline Rolling is the fastest and most economical method of producing involute toothed forms. Many different types of splines, threads, grooves and serrated forms can be rolled - individually or in combination - in just 3 to 7 seconds.
A. Lower Costs – Spline rolling yields the lowest piece cost of any Spline producing process. Spline Rolling Machines have very high production rates (up to 300 parts per hour)

Stronger Splines – Rolled splines are produced by moving the material. This displacement method of forming results in improved grain structure and a work-hardened Spline surface. As a result, rolled splines are typically 25 to 30 percent stronger than cut splines.

Improved Surface Finish – A rolled spline has a superior surface finish. The tooth flanks typically have a surface finish of between 3 and 15 RMS.
